These last months have been incredibly busy. A big reason was that I started working with a group of amazing people on launching a new organisation. We are building it in partnership with the Wellbeing Economy Alliance, around the demand for economic systems change that has been rising around my (German-language) YouTube channel, and based on the experiences I’ve had screening our documentary feature film ‘Purpose‘. On October 6th, we had our first public event at ‘Prachtwerk’ in Berlin — even though the organisation does not exist yet, and has neither name nor website. But the place was packed, and we had an unforgettable and enormously encouraging evening. Here are some photos:

On stage, my colleague Sarina Spiegel and I are talking about her brand new book, “Eat, Sleep, Work, Die?” — it came out on the day of our event.
I enlisted the help of some Monty Python to make a point during my little speech about our organisation.
Post-growth academic Steffen Lange joined us on stage.
The ‘core team’ — left to right: myself, Sarina Spiegel, Antonio Rohrßen, Shireen Stengel, Katharina Elshorst, Elena Tzara, and on the screen: Martin Bergovec.
A big part of the evening were exchanges with the audience in the room.
